Deal all cards evenly among the players so everyone holds an equal hand to start.

The first player leads a card to the trick, and the others in turn must follow suit if able, otherwise may play any card.

The trick is won by the highest card of the suit led, since there is no fixed trump suit, and the trick winner collects the cards.

High-value cards, informally called the "fat" cards, are worth extra points when captured, rewarding players who plan their captures carefully.

After all tricks are played, each player totals the point value of their captured cards, and the highest total wins the hand.
