Zolotye Vorota (Golden Gate)

Two players face each other, join raised hands to form an arch, and are named the "gate".

The rest of the group forms a chain by holding hands and files through the arch in a line while chanting a rhyme.

The gate players silently agree on a signal, such as the end of the rhyme, to lower their arms and "close".

Whoever is caught inside the arch when it closes joins the gate, forming a wider arch or a second gate.

Repeat until only a couple of players remain uncaught and can weave freely through the shrinking gates.
