Sit across from your partner so that the four players form two fixed teams for the whole game.

Deal out the entire deck and hold a round of bidding where each team estimates how many tricks they can win if a certain suit becomes trump.

The highest bidder's team commits to reaching their bid number of tricks with that suit as trump, while the other team tries to stop them.

Play proceeds trick by trick as in other trick-taking games, following suit when possible and using trumps to win when you cannot.

After all tricks are played, check whether the bidding team reached their target; if they did, they score points for the bid, and if not, they lose points instead.

Deal a new hand and keep a running score across many hands until one team reaches the agreed target to win the match.
