One player leads a card, and the others must respond in a set order, factoring in special ranking rules for certain cards each round.

Partners use quiet hand signals or agreed table gestures to hint at their hand's strength without speaking directly, following the game's traditional etiquette.

Tricks are won by the highest-ranking card played according to that round's special order, and the winning partnership scores accordingly.

Play continues across several hands until one partnership reaches the agreed winning score.
