MATERIALS
- A wooden board with two rows of six pits
- 48 seeds or small stones
HOW TO PLAY
1
Place four seeds in each of the twelve pits before the game begins.
2
On a turn, a player scoops up all seeds from one pit on their own side and sows them counterclockwise, one seed per pit.
3
If the final seed sown lands in an opponent's pit that then contains two or three seeds, those seeds are captured.
4
Captures may chain backward through consecutive qualifying pits, all added to the capturing player's store in one turn.
5
The game ends when a side's pits are empty; each player keeps whatever remains on their side, and the higher total of captured seeds wins.
