MATERIALS
- A canoe or a long lightweight substitute load, such as a picnic table or large cooler, to carry
- A course marked with a start and finish point
HOW TO PLAY
1
Divide players into even teams and line each team up at the start beside their canoe or substitute load.

On the signal, each team lifts the load overhead or onto their shoulders together.

Teams carry the load along the marked course to the finish line without setting it down.
4
If the load is set down before the finish, the team must stop, lift it again, and continue from that spot.
5
The first team to carry their load fully across the finish line wins.
6
Rotate which teammates bear the most weight for a second heat so no one carries the whole distance alone.
