Vish Amrit (Poison and Nectar Tag)
- An open playing area
- No other equipment needed
Before play starts, the group marks out two or three small spots on the ground and agrees that these count as nectar, while every other spot counts as poison.
One player is chosen as the catcher and is only allowed to tag players who are standing on poison ground.
Everyone else must dash between the nectar spots, resting there whenever the catcher gets close, since the catcher cannot enter a nectar spot to tag anyone inside it.
The group agrees beforehand on a limit of one or two players per nectar spot, so a runner arriving at a crowded spot forces someone already there back out onto poison ground.
Anyone tagged while standing on poison ground is out for that round or becomes the new catcher, depending on which version the group is playing.
The game continues with fresh rounds until every runner has been caught or the group agrees to stop.
