MATERIALS
- A long sturdy rope
- A ribbon tied at the rope's midpoint
- Two lines marked on the ground
MEASUREMENTS
Rope at least 20ft (6m); mark two lines 3ft (1m) apart on either side of center.
HOW TO PLAY
1
Split into two even teams and have each team grip one end of the rope, standing behind their marked line.

On the starting call, teams pull steadily, digging in their heels for grip.

The team that pulls the ribbon marker past their own line wins that round.
4
Play a best-of-three series, letting teams switch sides between rounds for fairness.
5
Cheering teammates who aren't currently pulling can chant to encourage the current pullers.
