6-20 players (two teams)
DIFFICULTY
SETTING
Indoor
MATERIALS
- A simple percussion instrument like a furro or tambourine (optional)
- A list of call-and-response verse prompts
HOW TO PLAY
1
Split into two teams and give each a copy of the verse prompts.
2
One team sings or chants a short verse in call-and-response style, keeping a steady clapped beat.
3
The other team must answer with a matching verse of their own within a few seconds, staying on the same beat.
4
A team that hesitates too long or breaks the rhythm loses that exchange and the other team scores a point.
5
Continue trading verses until the prompt list runs out, then total each team's points to find the winner.
