MATERIALS
- A light reed or spear-like stick for each player
- A soft mound of sand or grass as a landing target
HOW TO PLAY
1
Mark a throwing line a measured distance from the soft landing target.

Each player takes a running start and throws their stick so it skips or slides as far as possible across the ground.
3
The distance the stick travels past the throwing line is measured and recorded for each throw.
4
Players take turns over several rounds, trying to beat their own best distance or that of the group.
5
The player with the single longest throw by the end of the agreed rounds wins.
