MATERIALS
- A handful of small smooth stones
- One slightly larger stone, the ingqanda
HOW TO PLAY
1
Players draw a small circle on the ground and place the handful of small stones inside it.
2
On a turn, a player tosses the larger ingqanda stone straight up into the air with one hand.
3
While the ingqanda is airborne, the player quickly scoops one or more small stones out of the circle with that same hand.
4
The player must then catch the falling ingqanda before it hits the ground, all while still holding onto any stones already scooped.
5
If the player fumbles the catch or fails to grab a stone, their turn ends and passes to the next player.
6
Players progress to scooping more stones per toss in later rounds, and whoever clears all the stones in the fewest turns wins.
