Ular Naga Panjang (Long Dragon Snake)

Two players form an arch by facing each other and raising joined hands, while the rest of the group forms a line behind them.

The line of players sings a traditional call-and-response song and walks in a chain underneath the raised arch.

The two arch players secretly agree on which of them represents which side, without telling the others.

On the final line of the song, the arch players lower their arms to capture whichever player happens to be passing underneath at that moment.

The captured player quietly chooses a side and stands behind that arch player, and the game repeats until everyone has been sorted into one of two teams, which can then have a friendly tug-of-war.
