MATERIALS
- A tall pole or sturdy branch
- Long colored ribbons, one per dancer
HOW TO PLAY

Tie one ribbon per dancer to the top of the pole, letting the loose ends hang down evenly.

Dancers each take hold of one ribbon end and stand spaced evenly around the pole.

As music plays, alternating dancers step clockwise and counterclockwise, weaving the ribbons into a braided pattern down the pole.

Dancers keep the ribbon taut and match the group's tempo so the braid stays even.
5
When the ribbons run out of slack, the group reverses the same steps to unweave the pattern back to the start.
