Twenty-Five (Irish Card Game)

Deal five cards to each player, then turn the next card face-up to determine the trump suit for the round.

Certain cards, like the five and jack of trumps and the ace of hearts, always rank among the highest regardless of the usual order.

Players take turns playing a card to the trick, following suit if possible, though trump cards may always be played.

The highest-ranking card played wins the trick and leads the next one.

The first player to win three tricks in a hand (or otherwise reach 25 points across a match) is declared the winner.
