HOW TO PLAY

Deal a hand of cards to each player and turn the next card face up to set the trump suit.

On a turn, a player may declare "las cuarenta" by showing the king and knight of the trump suit for bonus points.

Players lead and follow cards, trying to win tricks with the highest card of the led suit or with a trump card.
4
Card values differ from their rank, with the ace and three worth the most points toward the final score.

Once all cards are played, each player totals the point value of the cards in tricks they won, plus any declared combinations, and the highest total wins the hand.
