Deal the entire deck evenly to four players.

Each round has a different penalty theme, such as avoiding hearts, avoiding queens, or avoiding taking any tricks at all.

Players take turns playing a card, following the led suit if they can, and the highest card of that suit takes the trick.

Whoever wins a trick containing penalty cards for that round collects negative points based on the round's theme.

A special round reverses the scoring, rewarding whoever collects the most penalty cards instead of the fewest.

After every themed round has been played once, add up all scores; the lowest total wins.
