MATERIALS
- A 40-card Italian-suited deck (or a stripped 52-card deck removing eights, nines, and tens)
HOW TO PLAY
1
Deal all the cards evenly among the players, leaving no draw pile.
2
Play proceeds by tricks; each player must follow the suit led if possible, though there is no trump suit.
3
The highest card of the suit led wins the trick, following a special rank order where the three outranks the king.
4
Certain cards, like aces, twos, and threes, are worth points when captured in tricks; keep track as the hand progresses.
5
After all cards are played, add up captured point values (plus a bonus for taking the last trick); the highest total wins the hand.
