Totoloque (Aztec Target Game)
- A flat target board or marked circle on the ground
- Small rounded pellets or discs (traditionally cast in a soft metal, modern versions can use clay or wooden discs)
- A scoring stick or tally markers
Players typically throw from a fixed line roughly 2 to 4 meters from the target circle.
A small circular target is marked or placed on the ground a set distance away from a throwing line.
Each player, in turn, tosses their pellets underhand trying to land them inside the target circle or as close to its center as possible.
Pellets landing inside the circle score points, with a smaller inner ring worth more than the outer area, similar in spirit to a target-toss game.
After every player has thrown their full set of pellets, the round's points are tallied using the scoring sticks.
Play continues for an agreed number of rounds, and players keep a running total across rounds.
The player with the highest cumulative score when the match ends is the winner.
