Tongan Tau'olunga Dance Contest

Each performer takes a turn dancing solo in the center of the group while everyone else claps a steady rhythm.

The dancer uses graceful hand and arm movements while keeping their lower body in small, controlled steps.

Partway through, guests may step forward briefly to tuck a token gift or garland toward the dancer as a sign of appreciation, then step back.

The dancer incorporates the moment smoothly into their performance without breaking rhythm.

After each solo, the group applauds and the next volunteer takes the center for their turn.
