Deal three cards face down to each player and have everyone place a small starting stake in the pot.

Players look at their own cards (or choose to play blind) and take turns calling, raising, or folding.

Betting continues around the table, growing the pot as players stay in the hand.

When only two players remain, one may request a face-up showdown to compare hands.

The best three-card hand, ranked from trail (three of a kind) down to a high card, takes the pot.
