HOW TO PLAY
1

Two teams stand facing each other in loose rows without a net or dividing line between them.

2

A player starts play by striking the woven ball upward with her hand, sending it toward the opposing team.

3

Players on the receiving side work together, batting the ball with their hands to keep it from touching the ground and to send it back across to the other team.

4

A team scores or gains advantage when the opposing side lets the ball fall to the ground on their side of the playing area.

5

Teams often accompany their play with rhythmic chanting or singing that matches the pace of the ball being batted back and forth.

6

Play continues for an agreed number of rounds or until one team reaches a set score, with the highest-scoring team declared the winner.
