Deal out the tarot deck evenly among the players, setting aside a small talon if the count does not divide evenly.

Each player leads or follows a card from their hand, and the highest trump played, or the highest card of the suit led if no trump is played, wins the trick.

The Fool card may be played at any time to avoid following suit without winning or losing the trick.

Certain high-value cards, such as the top and bottom trumps, are worth bonus points if won in the final trick.

After all cards are played, each player tallies the point value of the cards in their won tricks, and the highest total wins the hand.
