MATERIALS
- Chalk or a stick to draw a grid
- A flat stone marker
HOW TO PLAY
1
Draw a grid of large connected footprint-shaped spaces on the ground, wide enough to represent an elephant's steps.
2
The first player tosses their flat stone marker onto the first space without it touching any lines.
3
Hop through the grid on one or two feet as marked, skipping over the space holding the marker.
4
Balance on one foot to bend down and pick up the marker on the way back through the grid.
5
If a player steps on a line, misses a space, or loses balance, their turn ends and passes to the next player.
6
Play continues in turns as each player advances their marker through further spaces, with the first to complete the whole grid winning.
