MATERIALS
- Chalk to draw the grid
- A flat stone or small object to toss as a marker
MEASUREMENTS
A grid of numbered squares, similar to hopscotch, chalked onto pavement or packed earth.
HOW TO PLAY
1
Draw a numbered grid of squares on the ground with chalk.
2
Toss your marker stone into square number one without it touching a line or landing outside the square.
3
Hop through the squares on one foot, using both feet only where two squares sit side by side, skipping over the square holding your marker.
4
Turn around at the far end of the grid and hop back the same way, pausing to scoop up your marker on the way.
5
If you step on a line, miss a square, or lose your balance, your turn ends and passes to the next player.
6
Advance to the next numbered square as your target on your next turn; the first player to clear every square wins.
