Players agree on a list of categories, such as city, country, river, animal, and food, and draw a grid on paper with a column for each.

One player silently recites the alphabet until someone calls "stop," landing on a random letter for the round.

Everyone races to fill in a word starting with that letter for every category before anyone else finishes.

The first player done calls "stop" again, and all players must put their pens down immediately.

Players read out their answers and score points for each valid word, with answers no one else wrote worth more than shared ones.
