Somali Buraanbur Praise Circle

The group forms a circle, and one member steps forward to recite a short poetic verse of praise or celebration.

The rest of the circle claps and hums along in support as the verse is spoken.

At the end of the verse, everyone repeats a short closing line together.

The next speaker steps forward with their own verse, often about a different person or event.

Continue until everyone who wishes to share a verse has had their turn.
