Skopje Circle Dance

Dancers join hands and form a large circle, moving together in a repeating step pattern to the music.

A lead dancer at one end of the circle introduces small variations in footwork that ripple down the line.

Dancers must watch the person ahead of them closely to catch and repeat each new variation in time.

The circle can gradually spiral inward and back outward as the lead dancer changes direction.

The dance continues until the music ends or the lead dancer signals a final closing step.
