- A standard 52-card deck
- Paper and pencil for scoring
HOW TO PLAY
1
Deal a small hand of cards to each player, leaving most of the deck as a draw pile.
2
In the early rounds, players draw and discard to build melds of same-rank cards while also playing tricks against each other.
3
As the deck depletes, the game shifts phases, and players must instead try to avoid being stuck without cards or being unable to follow suit.
4
The last player still holding cards, or unable to get rid of their hand, becomes the "skitgubbe" and receives the worst score for the round.
5
Scores from melds, tricks, and any final penalty are combined, and after several rounds the player with the best overall score wins.
