- A drum or hand percussion
- Optional: a bonfire or lantern for atmosphere
HOW TO PLAY
1
Gather the group in a loose circle around a central drummer or two.

The drummer starts a slow, rolling beat that gradually builds in speed.
3
Dancers step into the middle in pairs or small groups, moving their hips and feet loosely in time with the beat.
4
The circle claps and calls out encouragement to whoever is dancing in the middle.
5
Dancers rotate out every minute or so, tapping in new dancers to keep the circle moving.
