MATERIALS
- A Senet board (3 rows of 10 squares)
- 5-7 flat pieces per player in two distinct styles
- Throwing sticks to generate a move value
HOW TO PLAY
1
Set up pieces alternating between the two players along the first row of squares.
2
Players take turns tossing the throwing sticks to get a move value, then advance one piece that many squares along the snaking path.
3
Landing on a square occupied by a single opposing piece swaps its position with yours, sending the opponent's piece backward.
4
Two or more of a player's pieces standing together on adjacent squares form a block that can't be passed or swapped.
5
Certain squares near the end of the board carry special effects, sending pieces backward or requiring an exact roll to leave the board.
6
The first player to move all of their pieces off the final square wins.
