Schnapsen

Deal five cards to each player, place the remaining cards face down as a draw pile, and turn up one card to set the trump suit.

The non-dealer leads the first trick by playing any card; the other player must follow suit if holding a card of that suit once the draw pile has been used up.

The higher card of the suit led wins the trick, unless a trump card is played, which beats any non-trump card.

After each trick, both players draw a card from the pile to return to five cards in hand, until the pile runs out.

Score points based on card values captured in tricks, with bonus points for melding a king and queen of the same suit.

The first player to reach the agreed target score, often 66 points, wins the game.
