Each player arranges their pieces in the starting rows on their side of the octagonal board.

Players move one piece per turn, either sliding it to an adjacent open space or jumping it over a neighboring piece to capture it.

Special jump pieces may leap over several pieces in one turn if the landing spaces are clear, capturing each piece jumped.

Blocking pieces cannot capture or be captured, and can be used defensively to protect key spaces.

The game ends when one player has captured enough opposing pieces, or safely moved a set number of pieces into the opposite camp.
