Diamond layout of four bases spaced roughly 12-15 meters apart
Set up four bases in a diamond and split players into a batting team and a fielding team.
The fielding team's bowler throws the ball underarm toward the batter, who attempts to strike it into the field.
After hitting the ball, or after missing it under some rule sets, the batter runs around the bases counterclockwise.
Fielders try to get the batter out by catching a hit ball before it bounces, or by touching the ball to the base the runner is heading toward before they arrive.
A batter who completes a full circuit of all four bases in one turn scores a rounder for their team.
Teams swap batting and fielding roles after an agreed number of outs, and the team with more rounders scored wins.
