MATERIALS
- A hard-surfaced court with raised banked borders
- Mallets
- Hard rubber balls
- Ten metal wickets and two stakes
MEASUREMENTS
Regulation court roughly 30 x 60 ft (9 x 18m) with a low banked border.
HOW TO PLAY
1
Set up the wickets and stakes in the fixed roque court pattern used for the sport.
2
Players take turns striking their own ball with a mallet, aiming to pass it through the wickets in order.
3
Use the court's banked edges to rebound your ball around obstacles, similar to a bank shot.
4
Striking another player's ball earns a bonus shot and lets you knock their ball off position.
5
The first player to complete the full wicket circuit and strike the finishing stake wins.
6
In team play, a side wins once all of its players have finished the circuit.
