MEASUREMENTS

Players throw from a line roughly 10-12m away from the clay pit where the target cord is stretched.

HOW TO PLAY
1

A thin cord or rubber band is stretched taut across the middle of a shallow pit filled with soft, damp clay or sand.

2

Players take turns throwing their flat metal disc underhand from the marked throwing line, aiming to land the disc as close to the cord as possible.

3

A disc that lands touching the cord without moving it earns a middling score, while one that stops exactly on top of the cord and holds it down earns the highest score.

4

Discs that land far from the cord, or that knock it out of position without stopping on it, earn few or no points for that throw.

5

After both players or teams have thrown all their discs, the distances and cord contact are compared to tally the round's score.

6

Play continues over multiple rounds until a team reaches an agreed target score, decided in advance by the players.
