Raban Padeema

Players sit in a circle and pass the drum from one person to the next while a steady beat is kept going.

Whoever is holding the drum when the music or clapping suddenly pauses must play a short rhythmic pattern on it.

The next player has to match or build on that rhythm without breaking the beat before passing the drum along.

A player who fumbles the rhythm or drops the beat is gently teased and sits out that round.

Keep playing rounds, gradually increasing the speed, until only the steadiest drummers remain.
