MATERIALS
- A short tapered wooden peg (about 4in / 10cm)
- A longer wooden stick (about 18in / 45cm)
HOW TO PLAY

Place the small tapered peg on the ground and strike one of its angled ends with the long stick to pop it into the air.

While the peg is airborne, hit it again with the stick to send it as far as possible.

Other players may try to catch the peg in the air; a clean catch ends the striker's turn immediately.

If the peg is not caught, measure the distance it traveled in stick-lengths and add that to the striker's running score.

Players rotate through an agreed number of turns each.

The player with the highest total distance score at the end wins.
