Deal ten cards to each active player, with two extra cards set aside as a hidden 'widow.'

Players bid in turn on the minimum number of tricks they can win if they choose the trump suit, with the highest bidder taking the widow into their hand.

The winning bidder discards down to their original hand size and names the trump suit for the round.

Play out all tricks following suit when possible, with trump cards beating other suits.

Compare the bidder's tricks won against their bid; falling short results in a penalty, while meeting or exceeding it scores points.
