Pinochle

Deal all cards and have players declare scoring card combinations, called melds, from their hand.

Add up meld points before the trick-taking portion of the hand begins.

Play tricks in turn, following the led suit or trumping when unable, with the highest trump or led card winning.

Collect card points from won tricks, with aces and tens worth the most.

Combine meld and trick points each hand, playing to an agreed target score across multiple deals.
