MATERIALS
- A bat
- A soft ball
- Marked bases arranged in a zigzag pattern
MEASUREMENTS
A field with bases set in a zigzag line rather than a diamond, spaced roughly 20-30m apart.
HOW TO PLAY
1
One team bats while the other takes the field, similar in structure to baseball.
2
The pitcher stands beside the batter and tosses the ball straight up so the batter can strike it on the way down.
3
After a fair hit, the batter runs the zigzag base path while fielders try to get the ball to a base ahead of the runner.
4
A runner is out if tagged, forced out at a base, or if three strikes are recorded against them.
5
Runs are scored by completing the full zigzag circuit back to home.
6
Teams switch between batting and fielding after three outs, and the team with more runs after the agreed number of innings wins.
