Peach Stone Game
- 6 flattened peach or fruit pits, burned black on one side (or 6 two-sided tokens as a substitute)
- 1 shallow wooden bowl or basket
- Beans, kernels, or small counters for scoring
Each player or team begins with an agreed number of counters, such as beans or kernels, held in a shared pool.
A player holds the shallow bowl containing the six pits and strikes it firmly against the ground or a folded blanket so the pits bounce and land inside.
The player counts how many pits landed burned-side up versus plain-side up, since specific combinations, such as all six matching, score more counters than a mixed result.
The player collects the number of counters earned for that throw from the shared pool, or from the other players if playing without a pool.
Turns pass to the next player, and the bowl is struck again, continuing the cycle of tosses and counter collection.
Play continues until one player or team has won all of the counters, or an agreed time or score limit is reached.
