MATERIALS
- A saddled horse for each rider
- A six-handled leather ball
- Goal hoops at each end of the field
HOW TO PLAY
1
Two mounted teams take positions on a long field with a raised hoop goal at each end.
2
A rider carries the six-handled ball at arm's length while galloping, and opponents may grip the opposite handles to contest possession.
3
Possession may only change hands through a fair tug-of-war style contest between two riders, not by grabbing suddenly or dangerously.
4
The rider who gains full control gallops toward the opposing team's hoop, trying to throw the ball cleanly through it.
5
A goal scores a point, and the team with more points when time expires wins the match.
