MATERIALS
- A tall wooden pole
- Grease or oil to coat the pole
- A small prize to hang at the top
MEASUREMENTS
A pole about 4-6 meters tall set upright in the ground.
HOW TO PLAY
1
The pole is coated generously in grease from top to bottom before the game starts.
2
A small prize such as a flag or bag of treats is tied securely to the very top of the pole.
3
Contestants take turns, or team up to form a human chain, trying to climb to the top without sliding back down.
4
Climbers may use sand, ash, or their shirts for extra grip, but the grease keeps undoing their progress.
5
Whoever reaches the top first and grabs the prize keeps it and wins the challenge.
