MATERIALS
- A tall pole planted upright in the ground or a sturdy stand
- Long colorful ribbons attached to the top of the pole, one per dancer
- Music with a lively rhythm
HOW TO PLAY

Attach one ribbon per dancer to the top of the pole and give each dancer the loose end of a ribbon.

Have dancers form a circle around the pole, alternating which direction each dancer will move.

Start the music and have dancers step in their assigned direction, weaving under and over the dancers moving the opposite way.

Continue winding until the ribbons braid down the pole into a tight woven pattern.

Reverse the pattern by having dancers retrace their steps to unweave the ribbons back to a loose circle.
6
Repeat with faster music or new dancers for another round.
