MATERIALS
- A long narrow beam or plank
- A paddle-shaped stick per player
HOW TO PLAY
1
Set the beam on the ground to represent a canoe hull.
2
Each player must walk the length of the beam while holding the paddle stick out for balance, mimicking paddling motions.
3
Stepping off the beam sends that player back to the start to try again.
4
Time each player's crossing, or race two players side by side on parallel beams.
5
The fastest clean crossing, or the winner of the head-to-head race, takes the round.
