- A blindfold
- Several small saucers or bowls
- A handful of small objects or scraps of paper representing different fortunes
HOW TO PLAY
1
Place several saucers on a table, each holding a different small object that symbolizes a different fortune or outcome for the coming year.

One player is blindfolded and led to the table by a helper, who is allowed to give teasing, misleading hints about where each saucer sits.
3
The blindfolded player reaches out and touches one saucer without seeing what it contains.
4
The helper reveals what was chosen, and the group interprets the result according to the traditional meaning assigned to that object.
5
Players take turns being blindfolded until everyone has had a chance to make a choice, with plenty of laughter at the helper's misdirection along the way.
