MATERIALS
- A board with two rows of small pits
- Olinda seeds or small stones, several dozen
MEASUREMENTS
Two rows of pits facing each other, most commonly seven pits per side.
HOW TO PLAY
1
Distribute an equal number of seeds into every pit on both rows to start.
2
On your turn, scoop all seeds from one pit on your side and sow them one at a time into the following pits, moving in the agreed direction.
3
If your last seed lands in an already-occupied pit, pick up all the seeds there and keep sowing without pausing.
4
If your last seed lands in an empty pit on your own side, capture the seeds directly across from it in your opponent's row.
5
Captured seeds are set aside as points for that player.
6
Play continues until one side's pits are empty; whoever has captured the most seeds wins.
