MATERIALS
- Small woven baskets or nets with handles
- Floating rings or soft toys to represent fish
- A shallow pool, wading pool, or water table
HOW TO PLAY
1
Scatter the floating 'fish' across the water and give each player a small basket or net.
2
On the signal, players wade or reach in to scoop fish into their basket without using their free hand to grab them directly.
3
Set a time limit for the catching round.
4
When time is called, everyone stops scooping and counts the fish caught in their own basket.
5
The player with the most fish caught within the time limit wins; for younger players, skip scoring and simply celebrate everyone's catch.
