MATERIALS
- A carved wooden board with two rows of pits, or holes dug in the ground
- Small seeds or pebbles as counters
HOW TO PLAY
1
Seeds start out distributed evenly in the pits on each player's own side of the board.
2
Players take turns lifting all the seeds from one pit and sowing them one at a time into the pits that follow around the board.
3
Landing your final seed in a pit on your opponent's side that becomes fully loaded lets you capture that pit's contents.
4
A capture can sometimes chain backward into neighboring loaded pits, scooping up several pits in one turn.
5
The game ends when a side can no longer move; whoever has captured the most seeds overall wins.
