Dig or mark a small shallow hole in packed dirt to hold the stones.

Toss one stone, called the marker, straight up while a set of stones rests beside the hole.

Before catching the falling marker, scoop the correct number of ground stones into the hole in a single motion.

Increase the required number of stones scooped per toss with each successful round, from one up through the full set.

If you fail to scoop the right amount or drop the marker, your turn ends and passes to the next player.

The first player to complete every round of scooping without a mistake wins that game.
